Һүҙ хатаһы: If you are printing the pattern split onto A4 pages, first arrange the pages and stick together to ensure you match the correct pieces together.

Choose to cut either one set of HOOD pieces or two (to have a lining).

Lay two HOOD pieces RIGHT SIDES together. Pin and stitch the center back seam allowance. Trim and finish the seam allowance with zig-zag stitch or an overlocking stitch.

If you are using only one set of HOOD pieces, fold the front opening seam allowance back 75mm then again 75mm. Pin and stitch in place to finish the seam.

If you are using two sets of HOOD pieces to create a lining, place one set inside the other RIGHT SIDES together. Pin and stitch the opening seam allowances. Trim and finish the seam allowance as before.

Lay the BACK pieces RIGHT SIDES together.

Pin and stitch the center back seam.

Trim and finish the seam allowance.

Lay the GUSSET RIGHT SIDES together with the back matching the balance marks.

Pin, stitch and finish the seam allowance.

Lay the FRONT and BACK pieces RIGHT SIDES together.

Pin and stitch the shoulder seam allowances.

Trim and finish the seam allowance.

Fold the SLEEVE CUFF in half lengthways. Lay RIGHT SIDES together with the SLEEVE edge.

Pin, stitch and finish the seam allowance.

With the FRONT and BACK opened up and RIGHT SIDE facing you, lay the SLEEVE RIGHT SIDES together along the armscye.

Match the shoulder seam point with the center of the SLEEVE head. Ease the rest around.

Pin, stitch and finish the seam allowance.

With the FRONT and BACK RIGHT SIDES together, match the side seams and SLEEVE seams together.

Pin and stitch from the SLEEVE CUFF to the LEG CUFF.

Trim and finish the seam allowance.

Without the FOOT:
If you are not using the FOOT apply the LEG CUFF:

Open up the leg. Apply the LEG CUFF as in Step 6.

When applying the LEG CUFF to the side with the opening, fold inside the end seam allowances of the CUFF to hide the raw edges.

Pin the BACK leg to the FRONT leg RIGHT SIDES together. Match the GUSSET up to the center FRONT, matching the balance points.

Fold the BUTTONSTAND in half lengthways RIGHT SIDES TOGETHER. Sew the end seam allowances. Clip and trim the seam allowance and turn RIGHT SIDES out.

Match the BUTTONSTAND, RIGHT SIDES together with the FRONT that has the leg opening. Don’t forget to start matching 1.5cm down from the neckline and 1.5cm up from the end of the leg (or above the LEG CUFF) to allow for the seam allowance.

Fold back to the WRONG SIDE the seam allowance of the FRONT with the GUSSET attached. Pin and topstitch approx. 1cm from the center front edge.

Use the BUTTONSTAND PLANNER to mark placements for the safety snaps or velcro. Apply as per instructions and ensure to use a fastening that is safe for babies.

If using the FOOT:
Lay the FOOT RIGHT SIDES together with the FRONT leg and BACK leg. Pin the seam allowances allowing the BACK to curve around the FOOT piece.

Ensure to fold seam allowances to the back to avoid distortion of the front side when turned RIGHT SIDES out.

For the side with the opening, fasten the snaps together and then pin the leg onto the FOOT.

Stitch and finish the seam allowances.

For the HOOD:
Pin the seam allowance of the HOOD RIGHT SIDES together with the neckline.

Stitch then trim and finish the seam allowances.

Without the HOOD:
Ease the NECKLINE CUFF around the neckline.

When applying the NECKLINE CUFF allow it to curve off at the center front so that it doesn’t end square.

Trim and finish the seam allowance. You may wish to top stitch around the neckline to secure the seam allowance.
