Annelize Wrap Top Tutorial
Images are available in the pattern download.
Begin by creating a rolled hem on the asymmetric seam running from the top to the side seam of the FRONT pieces.
Use zig-zag stitch or other stretch stitch throughout this project. Also ensure to use a ballpoint jersey machine needle.
Lay the FRONT pieces RIGHT SIDES together with the BACK.
Ensure to match alternate FRONT side seams correctly to the opposite FRONT piece.
Stitch and finish the side seam allowances.
Create a rolled hem starting from one FRONT tie point around the BACK to the FRONT again.
Be careful not to stretch the fabric while creating the hem.
You may prefer to apply a lingerie elastic to this team allowance instead of the rolled hem.
Create a rolled hem on the lower edge of the garment.
Enclose both FRONT pieces in the one rolled hem.
Fold back the top FRONT tabs to the WRONG SIDE along the line shown on the pattern.
Sew a row of stitches 5mm from the tab edge to secure.
This forms the channel for the TIES.
Create the TIES by following the STRAPS AND TIES TUTORIAL.
If you have a seam turner:
Fold the TIES in half lengthways and sew the seam allowance with zig-zag stitch. Turn RIGHT SIDES out using a seam turner.
