Product Description

Juliana Sarong Handkerchief Skirt PDF Sewing Pattern
The Juliana skirt is a carefree, easy-wearing summer skirt. Wear it over swimwear on the beach, or pair with a tank top and flip flops to stroll through town. You can leave it loose or tie it on the side like a sarong to change it’s style. The skirt is created from a single piece of fabric with a waistband attached. The recommended minimum length for any side of the fabric is 1 metre (the skirt shown in the images uses 1m x 1.4m).

Begin by laying the WAISTBAND interfacing RIGHT SIDES together with the main WAISTBAND. If you are using iron on interfacing, join it now.

Fold the WAISTBAND in half and joining the shorter seam allowances.

Pin and stitch the seam allowance.

Take your length of skirt fabric, fold it in half widthways then lengthways so you end up with a rectangle. This gives you the center point to ensure your waistband is centered correctly.

Measure the correct length out from the corner where all the folds originate. Ensure to measure along the longer edges of the skirt. Mark the end points on the 4 folds of the skirt by placing 2 atụdo.

Open up the skirt lengthways and carefully snip along the fold between the 2 atụdo.

Using sharp scissors, carefully snip open

Finish the skirt hem with a rolled hem, overlocking hem stitch or a trim.

This skirt must be put on over the head.
