Jennie Dress Tutorial

Cut out all pattern pieces.

Fold the NECKLINE CUFF and ARMHOLE CUFFS in half RIGHT SIDES together.

Pin and stitch to create complete loops.

Use zig-zag stitch or another stretch stitch throughout this project.

Lay the FRONT and BACK RIGHT SIDES together.

Pin and stitch the shoulder and side seams.

Finish the seam allowances with zig-zag stitch or an overlocker.

Take the NECKLINE CUFF, fold it in half widthways.

Find the center front, center back and midway points by folding the CUFF in half and placing pins to mark the points. Repeat with the garment neckline.

Match the raw edge of the NECKLINE CUFF to the garment neckline. Match the marker pins then ease the rest of the NECKLINE CUFF onto the garment neckline.

Pin and stitch. Finish the seam as before.

Repeat Step 3 for the two ARMHOLE CUFFS.

Top stitch using zig-zag stitch close to the seam line to secure the seam allowance in place on the WRONG SIDE.

Fold the hem over towards the WS 7.5mm, then fold over another 7.5mm to complete the seam allowance. Top stitch using zig-zag approximately 6mm from the garment edge to finish.

Press all seams.
