Tacks are mainly used to secure the ends of pockets and pleats were added reinforcement are needed. When done correctly they are also an attractive feature.

The crow’s foot tack is similar to the <a class=”contentlink” href=”arrowheadtack.php”>arrowhead tack</a>. Begin by marking a small triangle in the required place. Bring the needle up from the wrong side through the bottom left corner of the triangle. Take a diagonal stitch from right to left through the top point, then repeat this in the bottom right corner and again in the bottom left. Repeat this process until the triangle is completely filled in.
