1.5cm seam allowance included
Begin by creating rolled hems along the long centre front seam allowance of the FRONT and the lower hems of the FRONT and BACK, and the SLEEVE cuffs. You may like to use a hemmer foot or manually turn the hems over and pin.
Use zig-zag stitch or other stretch stitch throughout this project. Also ensure to use a ballpoint jersey machine needle.
Lay the two FRONT pieces RIGHT SIDES together.
Pin and stitch the centre back neckline collar.
Finish the seam allowance using your preferred method – perhaps an overlocking stitch or zig-zag. Trim the seam allowance.
Open up the FRONT pieces and lay RIGHT SIDES together with the BACK, matching shoulder and neckline seam allowances.
Pin stitch and finish the seam allowance as before.
Open up the FRONT and BACK pieces.
Insert the SLEEVE into the armscye. Match the seam allowances RIGHT SIDES together and ease the SLEEVE head in.
Pin, stitch and finish.
Complete the garment by turning it WRONG SIDE out. Align the side and SLEEVE seam allowances. Pin stitch and finish the seam allowances.
