STEP 1:
Fold the SKIRT RIGHT SIDES together from the cowl centre point mark.
Pin, stitch and finish the cowl seam.
STEP 2:
Place both SKIRT pieces RIGHT SIDES together.
Match the centre back seam allowances.
Pin stitch and finish the seams.
STEP 3:
Finish the hemline of both SKIRT pieces by creating a rolled hem.
Only complete the seam up until the centre front seam opening marker on the centre front.
STEP 4:
Place both SKIRT pieces RIGHT SIDES together.
Match the centre front seam allowances.
Pin stitch and finish the seams.
STEP 5:
Fold a small square of fabric in half and place under the centre front point where the skirt divides.
Top stitch around the V securing the square of fabric. This will support the centre seam line.
Trim away the excess.
STEP 6:
Lay WAISTBAND 1 RIGHT SIDES together with WAISTBAND 2. Sew the seam allowances up to the markers. Fold and press the WAISTBAND in half lengthways, ready to apply.
STEP 7:
DRESS
Arrange the TOP sections RIGHT SIDES together with the SKIRT and WAISTBAND. Match side seams.
Pin in place ensuring no seam allowances have been missed out.

SKIRT
Match the side seams and centre back/front of the WAISTBAND RIGHT SIDES together with the SKIRT. Pin and stitch, finishing the seam allowance.
Press the seam allowances toward the inside of the garment.
STEP 8:
Fold the TIE in half along its length RIGHT SIDES together. Place a length of string in-between. Sew across the top to secure the string to the TIE. Pin and sew the seam allowance. Carefully pull the string turning the TIE RIGHT SIDES out.
If you have a loop turner:
Fold the TIE in half lengthways and sew the seam allowance. Turn RIGHT SIDES out using a seam turner.
Finish the TIE by pressing it and turning the raw ends under twice and use small stitches to secure. Insert into the WAISTBAND to complete.
If you have a binder attachment you can use it with zig-zag stitch to create your ties.
