STEP 1:
COLLAR OPTION
Lay the two COLLAR pieces RIGHT SIDES TOGETHER.
Pin and stitch the seam allowance leaving the neckline seam open.
CLIP and TRIM the seam allowance.
Turn RIGHT SIDES OUT and press. Top stitch all around close to the edge.
HOODED OPTION
Lay the two hood pieces RIGHT SIDES together. Pin and stitch the center seam allowance.
Repeat for the lining pieces.
Insert the lining into the main garment fabric RIGHT SIDES together.
Pin and stitch the outer hood seam allowance together and one side of the center front (the opposite to that intended to have the FRONT STAND applied).
STEP 2:
Lay the FRONT pieces RIGHT SIDES together with the BACK along the side seams.

Repeat for the lining pieces.
STEP 3:
Lay the lining and outer garment pieces RIGHT SIDES together.
Pin and stitch the armholes, hem and one center front as shown in the image.
Leave one CENTER FRONT seam allowance open to allow the stitching of the FRONT STAND in a later stage.
Clip and trim all seam allowances.
Turn RIGHT SIDES out and press gently. Topstitch around the armholes.
STEP 4:
Align the SHOULDER POINT on the FRONT piece with the BACK shoulder.
Stitch the shoulder seam allowances.
Finish the seam allowances by grading the back seam allowances and folding the front back and topstitching in place.
Finish the seam allowances either with an overlocker or zig-zag stitch
STEP 5:
Fold the correct FRONT STAND in half lengthways.
Stitch the seam allowances of both ends.
Clip as shown. Trim the seam allowance and turn RIGHT SIDES out.
STEP 6:
COLLAR OPTION
Match the center back of the COLLAR with the center back of the BACK, ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ دائیں اطراف.

Finish the seam allowance.
HOODED OPTION

Ease the hood around the neckline, matching the finished edge of the HOOD with the finished edge of the FRONT and vice versa for the raw edges on the other side.

Finish the seam allowance.
STEP 7:
Sew the FRONT STAND RIGHT SIDES together with the unfinished seam allowance of the FRONT.
Complete by adding the velcro to the FRONT STAND and center front of the opposite side. Sew the softer part of the velcro to the inward facing center front to help avoid the coarser part getting tangled in your pets fur.
Sew all around the inside of the velcro pieces to ensure they stay secure.
You may like to topstitch close to the seams all around the hem, center front, FRONT STAND, HOOD and armholes.
