Altering a Bodice Pattern – Bust
Full Bust
Cut through the center of the front darts and then across the bust-line. Spread the required amount avoiding overlapping at the shoulder seam. Re-draw the seam-lines and darts with the points central to the divides.
High Bust
Cut along the bust-line to the bust dart point. Fold up the required amount. Re-draw the darts from the new bust dart point. Re-draw the waistline with the amount required.
Low Bust
Cut across to the bust dart from the side seam. Cut down to the waistline or just above. Fold out the required amount putting the waistline part in a new position. Re-draw the waistline dart and side seam.
Small Bust
Cut through the center of the front darts and then across the bust-line. Overlap the darts and cuts the required amount. Ensure to keep the shoulder length measurement the same. Re-draw the seam-lines and darts. The darts will be small than before.
